About Us

Welcome to Families First Counseling and Psychiatry (FFCP). We are an outpatient mental health clinic (OMHC) providing behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and adults in Maryland. We believe in providing the highest quality of services by using multicultural evidence-based treatment and creating an inclusive environment that nurtures and celebrates individuality. We maintain a highly dedicated and skilled group of clinicians by investing in their professional growth and development through ongoing training, supervision, and growth opportunities.

Our in-home and community-based psychotherapy services allow for a therapist to meet with clients in their homes, schools, or our offices. We have an internal trauma informed treatment training program that allows our clinicians to have additional training and supervision in working with individuals with trauma histories.

FFCP has developed and maintained a well-respected Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) program that offers both individual therapy sessions and group skills-based training.

Our psychiatric services include psychiatric diagnostic assessment and medication management services. These services are open to clients receiving psychotherapy from other providers. In addition FFCP is offering assessment and certification for medical cannabis and also treatment with Ketamine for indicated conditions.
