FFCP Internship Program
The FFCP Intern Program is a two-semester program that includes providing an opportunity for second year social work or counseling students to have their placement in a community mental health setting. Students will receive over 24 hours of didactic training in mental health theories, strategies for interventions and a variety of approaches to working with people who have experienced trauma in its various forms.
The students will receive specific training in Trauma-based intervention and Contextual Focused Dialectical Therapy. Students will receive weekly individual and group supervision. Lastly, students will be assigned clients that fit their level of experience and training as well as consistent with their need to learn new skills.
