FFCP Internship Program

The FFCP Intern Program is a two-semester experience that provides second-year counseling or social work students the opportunity to complete their placement in a community mental health setting. Students participate in over 24 hours of structured training focused on clinical theory, evidence-based interventions, and strategies for working effectively with individuals who have experienced a wide range of challenges.

A core emphasis of the program is model fidelity—ensuring that interns not only learn therapeutic approaches but also apply them in ways that are consistent with best practices and ethical standards. To support this, interns receive weekly individual and group supervision, along with ongoing feedback and guidance. Client assignments are tailored to each intern’s level of experience and designed to expand clinical skills in a structured, fidelity-based learning environment.

Internship Program Update

Please note that our internship program is currently paused.

When the program resumes, it will require a full academic year commitment, beginning in the Fall and concluding in the Spring.
